Training as a Certified Data Centre Professional
This is what you can expect in this course
The Certified Data Centre Professional Training is the basic training in the "EPI Design and Build (Fitting and Architecture)" curriculum under the EPI Data Centre Training Framework. You do not need any special requirements for this training – however, one to two years of professional experience in the data center is an advantage.
If you successfully complete the further education and the exam, you are able to:
- Determining the optimal location for a business-critical data center.
- To evaluate and select the right components for a highly available data center.
- Identify and apply the industry standards.
- Cost-effective and reliable solutions for uninterrupted power supply, fire protection, air conditioning, cable systems and more.
- Optimize the cooling system based on existing and new technologies in order to meet the increasing demands of the future.
- Set up effective data center monitoring to react quickly through transparency and provide decision-making aids through appropriate reporting
- Use technical and processional security measures that protect valuable and sensitive corporate data in the data center.
- And much more.
The target group for CDCP certification
This basic course is responsible for any IT or data center staff who works inside and outside a data center for the improvement, availability and management of the data center. Personnel of architects, consultants and suppliers for data centers also generate a competitive advantage with data center-specific knowledge. They are responsible for achieving and improving the high availability and manageability of the data center.
This can be waited for you at the exam
The Certified Data Centre Professional multiple-choice exam lasts 60 minutes and consists of 40 questions. The test is considered to have been passed if at least 27 of the 40 questions are answered correctly by the TN. The participants who have successfully completed the exam will receive the internationally recognised Certified Data Centre Professional Certificate (CDCP).
The CDCP certificate is valid for three years, after which a recertification or further qualification is required. The available options can be found in the EPI Recertification Program.
