Understanding standards and designing processes in compliance with regulations is fundamental to the success of a data center. In three days, learn about the TIA 942 standard and its requirements, as well as possible design variations. This course is ideal for all types of data centers: single-enterprise or multi-tenant, third-party data centers such as co-location, managed services, and cloud service providers.

The target group for CTDC® certification

The course is primarily aimed at professionals who design, build, maintain, and operate mission-critical data centers. CTDC® certification is also required if you wish to take the CTIA® (Certified TIA-942 Internal Auditor) course.

What you can expect from the CTDC® exam

The 90-minute closed-book certification exam consists of 60 multiple-choice questions . If you answer 50 or more questions correctly, you pass the exam and receive the official "Certified TIA-942 Design Consultant (CTDC®)" certificate.

Data centers are the heart of many organizations.
Data center downtime can result in significant losses for the company. Therefore, many organizations establish resilience at various levels, such as the data center infrastructure or the ICT level. However, information from recommendations from various vendors, consultants, and government agencies can lead to under- or over-specification.

Therefore, it is better to use a generally accepted standard as a basis for design and construction principles.
The ANSI/TIA-942 standard defines requirements and guidelines for the design and construction of data centers. The standard is intended for designers who require a comprehensive understanding of data center design.

The requirements and guidelines cover architecture, mechanics, electrical and telecommunications, which are not always covered by other general guidelines or defined by so-called “standards”.

Understanding the purpose of the ANSI/TIA-942 standard is fundamental not only for the successful construction of a data center, but also for its sustainable operation. In this three-day course, participants will learn how to design an ANSI/TIA-942 compliant data center and gain a clear understanding of the requirements of the ANSI/TIA-942 standard and possible variations in implementation.

The course is ideal for all types of data centers, such as enterprise or multi-tenant data centers, third-party data centers such as co-location, managed services, and cloud service providers.
