Prerequisites for the Standards/Compliance Learning Path
Please note that participants must hold a valid data center training certificate and the Certified Data Centre Professional (CDCP®) qualification or other recognized equivalent before embarking on the Standards/Compliance learning path.
CTDC® - Certified TIA-942 Design Consultant
Knowing standards and designing processes in compliance with regulations is fundamental to the success of a data center. In this three-day course, participants will learn about the TIA-942 standard and its requirements, as well as possible design variations. The course is suitable for employees of all types of data centers: single-enterprise or multi-tenant data centers, third-party data centers such as co-location, managed services, and cloud service providers.
CTIA® - Certified TIA-942 Internal Auditor
This two-day intensive course builds on the technical understanding of the skills acquired in the CTDC course. It enables participants to plan, conduct, and document an internal audit program based on ISO 19011. The course imparts methodological skills regarding audit principles, processes, and methods. Furthermore, participants will ideally prepare your data center for your next external audit.
CTEA® – Certified TIA-942 External Auditor
The CTEA® course is ideal for anyone who wants to acquire the knowledge and skills to work as an external auditor. You will then be able to independently conduct ANSI/TIA-942 compliance audits . The course includes a variety of business cases to develop the skills of the prospective auditor. As an external auditor, you will be able to assess a data center's compliance or non-compliance with ANSI/TIA-942 requirements.

CDMS® - Certified Data Center Migration Specialist
The Certified Data Center Migration Specialist seminar is essential for anyone primarily involved in data center migrations. In this two-day course, participants will learn a step-by-step method that will enable them to minimize migration risks . In addition to the theoretical foundation, you will receive numerous practical tips and advice from experts with extensive experience in relocating and consolidating mission-critical data centers.
Certified Data Centre Migration Specialist: What you can expect from this course
Participants don't need any specific prerequisites, but we recommend a certain level of practical knowledge. Experience in data centers and/or IT infrastructures will prepare you well for this seminar. We also recommend completing the Certified Data Center Professional (CDCP) course beforehand —but this is not a prerequisite.
If you successfully complete the CDMS training, you will be able to, among other things:
- Develop and review a data center strategy .
- Apply different risk assessment methods and practical tips to minimize risk during migration .
- Understanding different migration strategies .
- Understanding the legal aspects of data center migration.

Our CDMS certification is aimed at IT, operations, and data center operations professionals who work in and around the data center. They are responsible for data center migrations and/or data center strategy. This is how the certification exam works
The multiple-choice exam for the Certified Data Centre Migration Specialist lasts 60 minutes and consists of 40 questions. Successful completion of the test is achieved by answering at least 27 of the 40 questions correctly. Passing candidates receive the internationally recognized Certified Data Centre Migration Specialist (CDMS) certificate .
The CDMS certificate is also valid for three years , after which recertification is required. See the EPI Recertification Program for available options.

CDRP® - Certified Data Center Risk Professional
The two-day Certified Data Center Risk Professional (CDRP) course provides support throughout the entire risk management process. This training focuses on data center infrastructure, as well as the setup and equipment of the physical data center. You will acquire key skills to minimize risk as best as possible . This course is based on international standards such as ISO/IEC 27001: 2005 and guidelines such as ISO/IEC 27005: 2011, NIST 800-30, and ISO/IEC 31000. You will learn methodological skills for identifying and assessing risks, providing you with important information for decision-making.
Certified Data Centre Risk Professional: What you can expect from this course
As a participant, you don't need any special prerequisites, but we recommend a certain level of expertise. With at least three years of experience in data centers and/or IT infrastructures, you're ideally prepared for this seminar. We also recommend completing the Certified Data Center Professional (CDCP) course beforehand —but this is not a requirement.
If you successfully complete the CDRP training, you will be able to, among other things:

CDFOS® - Certified Datacenter Facilities & Operations Specialist
The CDFOS® (Certified Data Center Facilities Operations Specialist) course is a three-day course that enables participants to fully understand the day-to-day operations of a business-critical infrastructure/data center. Participants acquire all the necessary skills to conduct daily operations, understand which processes should be in place and their critical elements. These include service and customer support in the data center, the various disciplines, and their maintenance and security.
It is recommended that participants have experience in data center operations, although this is not required. Previous graduates recommend taking the DCFC® or CDCP® course before taking the CDFOS® course.
After completing the course, participants will be able to:
- Implement and support requirements for Service Level Management
- Practice safety aspects
- Maintain the security of the physical data centre facility
- Coordinate and supervise data centre facilities and equipment maintenance
- Provide service management for data centre services
- Operate the data centre making use of floor-, capacity and equipment life cycle management
- Monitor and report on data centre availability, capacity and capability
- Manage and implement basic data centre projects
- Manage and support the document life cycle
- Improve the overall efficiency of the data centre contributing to cost saving operations
The target group for the CDFOM certification
The primary target group for this course are facility and IT professionals who work in and around the data center and are responsible for ensuring secure and high availability, maintenance, and administration of the data center.
This is how the certification exam works
The certification exam is administered at the end of the last day of training at a certified test center (or online later upon request). It consists of 60 multiple-choice questions that must be answered within 90 minutes. Candidates need at least 45 correct answers to pass the exam. Online exam results are announced immediately.
Candidates who successfully pass the exam receive the "Certified Datacenter Facilities & Operations Manager" certificate. The certification is valid for three years, after which participants must recertify.
