This is how the certification exam works
The multiple-choice exam for the Certified Data Centre Facilities Operations Manager lasts 90 minutes and consists of 40 questions. The test is passed if at least 27 of the 40 questions are answered correctly. Successful candidates receive the internationally recognized Certified Data Centre Facilities Operations Manager (CDFOM) certificate .
The CDFOM certificate is valid for a period of three years , after which recertification is required. Available options can be found in the EPI Recertification Program.

CDFOS® - Certified Datacenter Facilities & Operations Specialist
The CDFOS® (Certified Data Center Facilities Operations Specialist) course is a three-day course that enables participants to fully understand the day-to-day operations of a business-critical infrastructure/data center. Participants acquire all the necessary skills to conduct daily operations, understand which processes should be in place and their critical elements. These include service and customer support in the data center, the various disciplines, and their maintenance and security.
It is recommended that participants have experience in data center operations, although this is not required. Previous graduates recommend taking the DCFC® or CDCP® course before taking the CDFOS® course.
After completing the course, participants will be able to:
- Implement and support requirements for Service Level Management
- Practice safety aspects
- Maintain the security of the physical data centre facility
- Coordinate and supervise data centre facilities and equipment maintenance
- Provide service management for data centre services
- Operate the data centre making use of floor-, capacity and equipment life cycle management

This is how the certification exam works
The certification exam is administered at the end of the last day of training at a certified test center (or online later upon request). It consists of 60 multiple-choice questions that must be answered within 90 minutes. Candidates need at least 45 correct answers to pass the exam. Online exam results are announced immediately.
Candidates who successfully pass the exam receive the "Certified Datacenter Facilities & Operations Manager" certificate. The certification is valid for three years, after which participants must recertify.

CDCS is the second stage in the EPI design and build curriculum in the EPI Data Centre Training Framework. You need a valid CDCP certificate to sign up for the CDCS course. The training course on the Certified Data Centre Specialist is a prerequisite for people who want to achieve CDCE status (Certified Data Centre Expert) – i.e. the highest level of training path to become a certified data center expert.

The CDCE training is the highest level in the EPI design and build (furnishing and architecture) curriculum in the EPI Data Centre Training Framework. Participants must have a valid CDCS certificate to sign up for the CDCE training.

The course deals with product reviews, among other things, and shows how to select devices and develop device tests (IET) as well as integrated performance and validation tests (IPVT). CDCE builds on the knowledge you have acquired in the CDCP and CDCS courses. If you pass the exam, join the elite of the industry's data center project design experts.
After you have completed the CDCE training, you will be able to:
- Choosing the optimal location for mission-critical data centers, taking into account current and future needs.

The Certified Data Centre Expert multiple-choice exam consists of two parts: Part A is a 90-minute exam with 60 multiple choice questions. Part A requires at least 45 correct answers to pass the exam. Part B takes 90 minutes and includes 25 open questions. For Part B you need at least 75 percent correct answers
Once you have completed the exam successfully, you will receive the internationally recognised Certified Data Centre Expert Certificate (CDCE).
The CDCE certificate is also valid for three years, after which a recertification is required. The available options can be found in the EPI Recertification Program.
